sister of avalon

Woohoo!!!

This last weekend, I completed my first year training as a Priestess of Avalon and dedicated to the Goddess as a Sister of Avalon! Yay!

We did an epic ceremony where we dedicated our lives to Goddess and told her our Vows. It was mad intense, and magical, and incredible, and I think my brain is still figuring it out. I’m not usually much of an energy hippy but I need to ground five times a day at the moment, otherwise I get all weird and spacey and emotional and collapse into overwhelm processing tears. It’s freaky.

A bunch of my Sisters on the course were thinking about getting tattoos to honour what we have done over the last year and to mark their dedication to Goddess. Well, the whole idea of tattooing freaks me out because PAIN and voluntary use of needles (shudder), but I feel like something big needs to be done to mark this. So I am shopping for a ruby ring to wear on my ring finger, since I basically, just “married” Goddess! It’s gonna be ruby pink as it will to remind me of the JOY and vibrance and alive energy of the Goddess, and how she wants me to have fun and do great stuff in her service.

Now I am getting ready to start Spiral 2 – Practice of a Priestess, and start doing all those priestessly things like leading ceremonies, handfasting peeps, soul retrival, scrying, oracling and all sorts.

Yay!
