Here at Rockstar Priestess our Priestess Training takes place in/as the Morgan le Fay Mystery School, where you can initiate as a Priestess of Avalon and train in the ways of Morgan le Fay.
Here is everything about how it works, what you need to do to get initiated and/or certified as a priestess, and the choices you can make along your priestess path!
How many years of training are there?
Officially 4.
There is the foundational devotional priestess training (thatās the Avalon Priestess Training, formerly Sister Sibling year).
Then there are the 3 x advanced training modules. We run one of those a year (ish) and they run for about 6 months each – you have an additional three months to get your homework in.
So let’s look at the trainings.
Avalon Priestess Training
This is a year long heart priestess training where you work with the wheel of the year to learn the devotional and alchemical skills of the Priestesses of Avalon. We work with Morgan le Fay and call her in as our spiritual guide so she can lead us in our priestess path, or our spiritual adventures. At the end of the year you can choose to initiate as a Sister/Sibling or a Priestess of Avalon or Morgan le Fay.
There is an OPTIONAL retreat at the end of the year (do it, itās so cool!)
If you complete the Avalon Priestess trainingā¦ you are eligible to join the Round Table, our alumni coven where we meet at the new and full moon to deepen our connection with Morgan le Fay and support eachother in our dreams and badass priestessing. Itās pretty dope.
Advanced Priestess Trainings
These trainings teach you the PUBLIC priestess arts of Avalon.
These used to be grouped together under the Priestess of Avalon training (I know, how many times can you use the word Avalon? Yeesh) but weāve broken them into three separate trainings.
I donāt believe that to be a priestess you have to be a ceremonialist, which is why at the end of the first year I allow folks to initiate as Priestess.
I also donāt believe in gatekeeping deeper skills and knowledge only for folk who go through my first year training: in ancient times folk from around the world would have visited Avalon to learn one speciality or another, why should now be any different? So peeps can train in these Rites without completing the heart year.
These three training courses taught by me and my team of visiting professors and experts – I also donāt believe that an Avalonian priestess training should only have one person teaching it or only one perspective represented, so all these courses have visiting professors and experts to teach their zone of genius, sharing the magic of Avalon that is collaboration and sisterhood.
The three advanced courses:
The Rites of the Underworld
Learning the skills and the arts of a death priestess – death, funerals, soul midwifery, ceremonies of release and ending, miscarriagesā¦ and communing and connecting with Avalon and itās mythology as the land of the dead. Very big, very cool work: we ran this one last winter.
This is online with an OPTIONAL in person retreat. If you want the accredited certification that allows you to get insurance and look official, you need to come to the retreat – if you canāt or you arenāt bothered about being accredited, complete the homework and get your regular certificate.
The Rites of Sisterhood
Avalon priestesses are about community, circles and bringing people together, so we learn how to do that – how to lead temple, create amazing circles and red tents, craft masterful ceremonies, soothe arguments and pagan drama (I meanā¦ as much as we possibly can š¤£ ) be trauma-informed, inclusive and just able to handle anything that gets thrown at you. We will also commune deeply with the sisterhood of Avalon and the ancient priestess councils of the land as our devotional practice, stepping into living our life as co-lead by the goddess.
Right now, this one is all online. I might change my mind and add a retreat, but if I do it will be optional.
This is the next Rites training we will be holding: We will be enrolling in November 2025.

The Rites of Celebration
Whatās our big role as priestesses? To celebrate life! In this class we learn how to create and officiate rites of passage ceremonies – handfastings, menarche, queening, croning, gender affirmation – and work the skills of the Oracle Priestess, learning to be a channel of the love and messages of the divine. In this module devotionally we are reclaiming our role as the Well maidens of the goddess, Itās so delicious!
There is an essential retreat that goes along with this one – we immerse in the wilds of Cornwall for five days, meet the Well Maidens at their springs and waterfall, honour Morgana at the sea shore and receive the transmission of the practices of the oracle. You want to come to that if you at all can.
Same situation as with Death: if you want the accredited certification that allows you to get insurance and look official, you need to come to the retreat, and if you canāt or you arenāt bothered about being accredited, complete the homework and get your regular certificate… but you don’t want to miss this retreat.

For the Advanced Priestess modules there is a chunky amount of homework to complete – I need to know you are processing and understanding stuff to make an assessment. Donāt worry, itās very fun doing priestess homework.

Wanna take them cos you are interested but have no actual intent to set up a death priestess ministry or start marrying people? You can totally do that too.

Complete Avalon priestess, Rites of the Underworld, Rites of Celebration AND Rites of Sisterhood? OMG! I have taught you everything I know (and everything our amazing professors know) and I will be overjoyed to initiate you as a Priestess of Avalon in the Morgan le Fay Mystery School tradition!
You can pilgrimage to the UK to perform your ceremony – together we will pick a phenomenal sacred space to do it in! – or it is possible there will be the option to do it in the USA. (I jump across the pond to California every year, and Iāve been meaning to visit Suzanne our potions professor in Massachusetts for ages, so give me an excuse!)
You will need to have completed a pilgrimage to the UK through one of our retreats, and I need to experience your ability to priestess like a badass. Weāll talk about it when we come to it.

So if you want to train to be a Priestess?
āWell, the real question is what kind of priestess do you want to be?
If you want to be a priestess who lives in the rhythms of the ancients and carries the energy of Avalon in her heart.ā¦ take the Avalon Priestess Training.
If you want to be a death priestess and be ready to hold people through endings and at the final breathā¦ take the Rites of the Underworld. (You get a Death Priestess certificate at the end.)
If you want to marry people and oracle the goddessā¦ Rites of Celebration is for you.
If you want to be a triple threat and live publically as a beacon of all things Avalon? Do everything!
Itās not a system where you have to do every single class I offer in order to earn the title of Priestess.
Take the bits you need. Leave the rest.
Can I be initiated as a Priestess at the end of the first year?
In short – YES, if you want and feel itās time.
You may make a vow to the goddess and initiate as a Priestess of Avalon – in my vocabulary this would be a Devotional Priestess, someone who is committed to the path of Avalon, communion with the Goddess and priestessing their own spiritual path.
You can commit your devotion any way you wish – the usual choice at the end of Avalon Priestess is to initiate as a Sister or Sibling of Morgan le Fay, one who carries her energy and is choosing to be a modern day Morgana, to carry the spirit of Avalon with them always. I know people who have done this course as their first introduction to the goddess world, and folks who have been in the world of spiritual ministry for decades. Iām not going to tell you you are not allowed to be a priestess when you clearly are.
I know, itās a little awkward my leaving it on you, but itās how it has to be: a priestess has to claim HERSELF first and foremost, otherwise any other giving of titles means nothing and does nothing. Thatās the first initiation.
At the end of Avalon Priestess year we have an optional retreat in Glastonbury so you can be initiated in the landscape of Avalon as a sister, sibling or priestess – itās very fucking magical.
If you want my conferred approval, the honoured giving of titles and the whole fancy ceremony and to learn everything me and my council of badass priestess elders and teachers knowā¦
ā¦ do the whole Mystery School shebang. Itās lot of work: by the end you will know you have earned it.
But know you donāt HAVE to. If you donāt want to be a death priestess and have no interest, donāt do it!
You can always book me privately for an initiation ceremony or rite of passage tailored perfectly to your personal priestess path, if you have done the work but are craving a big special initiation to mark it for you..
Hereās the thing about a priestess.
Itās not about the degrees or the amount of money you paid or the certificates or even the time you have spent doing this stuff – itās an energy. You can tell when someone holds priestess energy or not.
At the end of the Advanced Priestessing modules, if someone doesnāt hold that priestess energy and isnāt living as priestess, they donāt get the fancy ceremonyā¦ but itās pretty hard to go through all that spiritual work and not pick up the vibe.
