Here is bold truth for you:

When I feel sexy, the whole of my life enters a goddess flow state and life becomes GLORIOUS.

When I make feeling sexy a spiritual practice and a priority in life, everything feels good and everything flows – as an Aphrodite woman the highest gift I can give to the world is sexiness! 

And notice I said feeling sexy. Not looking sexy. 

Sexy isn’t what we think it is – it’s not about wearing tight clothes or pouting a lot or being skinny or grinding on stuff. It’s not something you do for others, or a performance to please someone else who is watching you, and it’s not about how much you look like Rhianna or Scarlett Johansson. 

We’ve been fed a whole lot of lies about what sexy is.  

We have been given a blueprint for sexy that cuts us off from what it really is – OUR EROTIC SPIRITUAL LIFE POWER. 

We are taught to think of sexy as a way that other people perceive us, something other people get to judge and decide if we are worthy of the title… when really that’s just the world trying to get us to give our raw magical power away to someone else so that we can’t wield it by ourselves any more.

Sexiness is about feeling flush with life, love and joy. When you feel sexy, truly sexy, you feel alive and delicious in your body. That erotic energy pulls you into your body and wakes you up to the pleasure of life. You are here in the present moment, you are enjoying your body and relishing your senses.

It’s not a performance for anyone else – it’s an experience for you.

When you feel sexy, you are sensual (which just means experiencing life through your body and senses rather than your mind – not you making orgasm noises while washing your hair or touching a sofa or eating a yoghurt).

When you feel sexy you are in your body and filled with the joy of being alive, and that is innately attractive and utterly magnetic.

Attraction is a side effect of your sexy power – not the purpose of it.

Sexiness is embodied power!

Sexiness is that feeling of YES LIFE I LOVE YOU!!!!!

You can choose to feel sexy just because you want to feel great – it doesn’t have to be for someone else, or to attract a person – and conversely your sexiness does not belong to your partner. It’s your fullest energetic embodied expression of being alive. It’s your power, and it’s here to serve YOU, not your lover.

P.S. Sex is the heart of magic.

My knowledge of magic has taught me that magic is that sexy energy, that life energy. When you feel sexy, turned on, pleasured up, alive and awake and celebrating your existence, that is when you are accessing your magic – when you are most powerful.

I honestly feel that feeling sexy is the energetic core of so much manifestation and what makes life fab – but then I am a Venus woman, so I would say that wouldn’t I 😉.

Feeling Sexy is a Gateway to Goddess

It’s a big ask of a lot of people, because we have been so trained to think of sex as the opposite of spiritual and of our sexuality as something that doesn’t quite belong to us – it belongs to our sexual partner, and any expression of sexuality that isn’t with our partner is a betrayal. What would be the point of feeling sexy unless you were sharing it with your partner?

No. Your sexy nature belongs to YOU and you can experience it EVERY DAY with yourself and whoever you choose to share it with – with your friends as you dance to your favourite music, with the roses you smell every day on your way to work, with that delicious chocolate torte from that french bakery down the road – yes, even with your colleagues on a work call or with your joint venture project partner as you hash out roles and responsibilities. 😮

Yes! Sexiness, turn-on and erotic power can help you in ALL ASPECTS of your life!

Sex isn’t just about having sex – its the erotic undercurrent of life. It’s your raw creative power.

That’s what you access when you feel sexy.

That’s what sexiness is – that power flowing through you.

You can use it to make babies or to create a project or just to eat a chocolate cake real slow and enjoy every second.

It takes a while for us to feel like it’s safe to feel sexy though.

Yes, many of us know intellectually that sex is sacred and is a miracle, but that comes into direct opposition with everything our world has taught us by osmosis about sex – that it’s weird and shameful and complicated, and that our sexuality is dangerous and creates bad things – and so in our bodies we resist this.

We know it in our heads, but we don’t feel it in our bodies.

That’s ok. This takes a while. We are unlearning a lot.

This is why I believe everyone on the Goddess path has to work with Aphrodite or one of her sister goddesses of love for at least little bit, because we have to learn to love this creative sexy shakti power. The Goddess Path is all about being in our bodies, celebrating and reclaiming our bodies (particularly female bodies, but ALL bodies) and we have a WILD amount of reprogramming to do before we can be comfortable there.

We have to reclaim our bodies, our power and our magic.

We have to reclaim our sexiness. Our aliveness. Our pleasure presence. Our embodied POWER.

That’s what the goddesses of love and sexuality do.

They remind us of who we are.

They remind us of our erotic power…

… and teach us how to use it to fall in love with our life.
