I’ve been walking my path with Morgan le Fey for 13 years, ever since I read about her in a book of Faery Witchcraft at the age of 16 and was like, YESSSSSS. Of course, back then I didn’t know what I was getting into: I just thought she was cool and I was soooo into her, just from the three paragraphs I read about her.
I did a ritual to call her in as my Patron Goddess.
I would say, silly little naive Demi making big commitments to goddesses she knew so little about, but, when do we ever know what we are getting into when we start – and if we did, knowing the route the journey would take, would we ever begin?
Morgan has been my Guiding Star since that day. I am crazy about Her. No matter how many goddess I flirt with and hang out with, Morgan le Fey always feels like home. She is my centre, the one who guides my work and training as a priestess – and I suspect most everything else I do too.
I created Morgan le Fey Mystery school two Samhains ago, because I really, really wanted something that celebrated Morgan le Fey out there. I felt there needed to be something in her honour that people could work though, cos I love her so. And that first course turned into a beautiful four week lunar journey with a coven of incredible, dedicated women who all fell in love with Morgan le Fey with me. We did powerful meditations every week. We learnt what Devotion to her would look like. We found ways to integrate her into our every day life, and did gorgeous live rituals in our online group.
It was such a magical container. A month of non-stop Morgan le Fey. So perfect!
And I am so excited to be running it again this spring!
So here is what you need to know about Morgan. She’s a shapeshifter, and she rules the in-between times. In a day, that’s twilight – the time as the sun sets and the last light of the day softly radiates from the horizon till dusk, and the time when the first tendrils of sunlight spread over the hills before dawn.
In the year, that’s the time between the Autumn Equinox and Samhain, and the time between the Spring Equinox and Beltaine.
In my mind at least, these are ALL her festivals. The festivals of the between times – the equinoxes – and the festivals of sex, death, power and enchantment – Beltaine and Samhain.
So this year, our Morgan Mystery Winter School takes place just after the Spring Equinox.
It’s the Winter School as it covers Morgana in some of her aspects on the darker half of the wheel of the year: the Sourceress, the High Priestess, the Initiatrix and the Queen.
As a shapeshifter, she has MANY faces!
Registration is open NOW until the 10pm GMT on the Tuesday 2nd April, ready for us to start at the Mew Moon – and I will be sharing as much Morgan-delicious yumminess between now and then, because, so excited.
