I made this one a while ago when I was having a great time playing around with mixed media. One of my friends was getting married (and if you’ve seen my Lover’s mermaid portraits you’ll understand how much I love love) and I was inspired to create this romantic, dreamy wedding scene. It’s just been sitting in my art file, unused and unloved, so I am opening it out for sale.
It’s the wedding night, and as the sun sets over the church, the bridge and groom hold each other and promise and love and be kind to one other forever. It’s a peaceful, blissful painting, that reminds you of how utterly perfect it feels to have in your arms the person you love most of all in the whole world.
It’s a shimmery painting: the moon is all shimmery silver and the bride’s dress is covered in delicate silver swirls that catch the light. The painting is decorated with romantic roses and orchids – pink roses for love and appreciation, white roses for marriages and new beginnings, and pink orchids for love, beauty, joy and grace. I just love flowers. My favourite magazines are those wedding flower magazines, and in another lifetime I am a florist.
It’s an A4 sized original painting, so it’s super easy to frame (I hate it when you buy a print or a painting where it’s a funny size and you are going to have to spend a fortune on finding a weird shaped frame for it). It’s on sale on my Etsy shop for just £50, so if you love it, then pop on over and make it yours!

WOW! The drawing is awesome and it’s the best gift to give for couples or married couples. As I ‘m sketching I would like to sketch this painting and give some different look. as the roses are looking real in the painting. Thanks for sharing. Loved it!
