Something has been coming up for me – maybe it’s been coming up for you too.
Isn’t it a bit frivolous to invest in a spiritual training right now with everything that’s going on in the physical world?
And I get it.
The world is utterly MENTAL right now, you don’t need me to tell you that.
Between the politics, gas prices, wars, ecological breakdown… with all that heavy stuff it’s easy to think that a Morgan le Fay class is pretty low on the list of priorities.
But here is the thing.
The world may be hard right now, but to survive it we need something beautiful.
We need something that connects us with hope and love and magic again.
We need something for ourselves to heal us, hold us and help us be human in such an overwhelming barrage of intensity.
I don’t think the world is going stop this rampage of intensity any time soon – it’s going to keep unveiling difficult stuff and collapsing and remaking itself. It’s just the times we are in and the vibe we signed up for – there isn’t a lot we can do about that…
… but what we can do is lean into whatever we have that helps us be able to live from our heart, that helps us be able to cope with and manage this wild ride without falling off, that helps us create a sacred space of beauty that the chaos of the world can’t touch.
And in tending ourselves, in tending our little patch of magic and beauty, we become more able to make a difference in the world.
That’s actually secretly the point of Sister Sibling Year anyway – to fully bring your back into your Self, your magic, your deep connection, and your Morgen peace and badassery. When you have that, you are actually available to be that Morgen energy at work in the world and make a difference, however that manifests for you.
It could be that Sister Sibling year gives you the love, energy and space you need to actually do something about these times we live in; set up a non profit, volunteer with lonely old folks, start campaigning for environmental reform…
… or it could gift you with the grace and peace to be a calmer, less overwhelmed force at home, to still be able to show up and be a human despite the inhumanity around us every day and just be a little sparkle of love and hope in the world.
All of these, utter miracles.
