What does a priestess of Morgan le Fay do?

My name is Demi, and I am a Priestess of Morgan le Fay. I am so happy to share with you what a Priestess of Morgan le Fay does!

First things first, being a priestess doesn’t really mean ticking off a big checklist of skills and to-dos. The heart of being a priestess is in your energy, how you be and how you show up in the world, and these things aren’t really measurable in a to-do list kinda way.

So in part, I am a Priestess of Morgan le Fay because that is just who and what I am. It’s in my energy field, and it’s there through working with Morgan le Fay consciously and unconsciously over a long period of time.

I know, it’s not the clearest answer!

AND, additionally to having cultivated the vibes, there are more things that a Priestess of Morgan le Fay does – so let’s talk about them below, and I’ll add in how I do those things in my practice too so that you get an idea how this applies to actual life.

A Priestess of Morgan le Fay is in Sacred Leadership.

Morgan Priestesses are pretty much always called into leadership, and our work is to keep learning how to do that with grace, vulnerability and big love. How can we lead and be a great sister or sibling at the same time?

Our challenge is to navigate the landscape of leadership and power while holding the energy of the divine feminine and deep awareness and compassion of our sister-woundings… and this might be in an explicitly priestessy context, like as a moon circle leader or a founder of a goddess temple, or it might be as the leader of a dance troupe or the manager of a HR department.

How do I live Sacred Leadership? I run Rockstar Priestess and teach Goddess classes and trainings, helping others connect with their version of Goddess Spirituality. I try to show up and be as honest as possible so people don’t feel they have to be perfect to be a priestess. I run and create in-person circles and ceremonies for other people too – lots of fun! And before I went full priestess I spent years running dance classes, dance events and burlesque shows – my kind of leadership is very all-action-Aries make things happen!

A Morgan Priestess Holds Transitional Periods

A Priestess of Morgan le Fay is always going to be called to the transitional periods of life and to hold space for transformation in the lives of others – and this will usually be in difficult times or times of shadow suffering.

As Morgan le Fay is in part a goddess of death and transformation, we are often called to hold space at the darker points of life for other people. That might be as someone who holds grief ceremonies, as a death doula, as someone who helps people through their dark night of the soul or supports people with their mental health… or just as someone who can be there with friends and family when they are going through tough times.

We will always be pulled to acknowledge the darker, more difficult aspects of life. It’s what we are.

How do I hold transitional periods? I’m really interested in self sabotage and the subconscious, so I have spent a lot of time learning about how to shift and change those patterns in myself and how to help others do it. We do a lot of shadow work at Rockstar Priestess! I do a lot of holding space for difficult moments for my friends and family too, and I’m someone people can turn to when they are feeling really anxious or depressed (… and holding transitional periods as a Priestess can be as simple as that – it doesn’t need to be all high and mighty). I am diving deeper into the death mysteries, and learning a lot more about death work and traditions of priestessing – who knows, maybe one day I will do that too!

A Priestess of Morgan le Fay Creates Ceremony

Ceremony is at the heart of our spirituality – creating sacred space, honouring the elements, and connecting with the thread of magic and Goddess that lives beneath all things. We know that life is incredible and deserves moments of presence, recognition and intention… which is what a ceremony is!

As priestesses we deeply understand the transformative nature of ceremony and how it can bring depth to our lives and the people we honour, serve or live with.

So as a Priestess of Morgan le Fay we always do some kind of ceremonial thing, wether it’s for our own personal practice or if it’s for groups and other people.

How do I use and create ceremony as a priestess? Well, in addition to facilitating ceremonies for others in my workshops and classes, I use ceremony a lot in my every day life – my mostly-daily practice has a strong ceremonial element, and I try to remember (ha!) to mark the new and full moons with a ceremony of connection.

A Priestess of Morgan le Fay Lives in Devotion

As a priestess of Morgan le Fay, it’s pretty much a prerequisite that we have to absolutely adore and be obsessed with Morgan le Fay

We are devoted to her and spend our lives following her thread of inspiration. She is the guiding light for how we plan and lead our lives – she may inspire us to train as a herbalist, or to go for that job at the non-profit, or be the muse to your art, or call you to go on foraging classes in the forest every year.

Devotion doesn’t mean obsession – you are totally allowed to have other interests, even other gods and goddesses you work with, and have times in your life where your Morgan devotion is SUPER STRONG and other times when it’s much quieter or a little fallow.

But wether you are in a strong season of devotion or a fallow one, there is no doubt – Morgan le Fay is awesome as hell and you never forget it. She’s always there in the back of you mind, calling you onwards, giving you excited shivers when you see something that reminds you of her.

No matter how far we stray from her, we are always lead irresistibly back.

Because she is legitimately the coolest thing in the world.

(It’s kind of our job to believe that!)

How do I live my devotion? Other than running a mystery school in honour to her? I do my mostly daily devotions to her, think about her a lot, and go and learn things that are inspired by her energy. I am a voracious learner and creator, so I go discover things and create stuff inspired by here – wether that’s learning about how people in the 5th century made clothes on Youtube (I think it’s relevant!) or learning astrology, or creating classes or lil’ doodles of her.

***

How we do all of this changes over the years. We are allowed to gently and slowly grow into the fullness of our Morgan Priestesshood – we don’t have to be there, now

(Know for sure that I am not there now – I don’t think we ever get there! There are always new depths to aspire to!)

Who you are and how you work with these four keys of Morgen Priestesshood will change over the years and that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be.

How I show up as a Morgen Priestess has changed a lot and I know it will continue to change in the coming years and decades as I deepen and shift and transform as a person – but one thing I know for sure, Morgan will always be there.

She’s been in my life for 16 years so far and I doubt she is going anywhere any time soon.
